Greeting & Announcements

+Call to Worship

Leader: Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.

People: Unless the LORD guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain.

Leader: It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil;

People: for he gives sleep to his beloved.

Almighty and everlasting God, you are worthy of all praise. We worship your majesty, we adore your awesome love. All good things have flowed from your hands, O Lord; you have given us your truth, your love, your presence.  Forgive us, Lord, when we focus on the foolish, temporal possessions that are in our hands for a moment and then gone; we are too often like children who see only what is immediate and do not see the greater truth.  Help us, Father, to recognize that we are rich above all persons because of what you have done in our hearts and lives.  Remind us, Lord, that there is no greater treasure than a forgiven life, a redeemed soul, a life indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and a future in your divine presence.  Help us live each day worthy of the great future you have given us by your grace, for we ask it in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
