Greeting & Announcements

+Call to Worship

Leader: O LORD, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away.

People: You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

Leader: Even before a word is on my tongue, O LORD, you know it completely. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.

People: Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is so high that I cannot attain it.

Leader: For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

ALL: Wonderful are your works; that I know very well.

Our Creator and Redeemer, we praise you for your mighty works.  You have created the cosmos, yet you also create each of our lives.  Even in the earliest moments of life, while we were too tiny to even be seen, your awesome hand was crafting us, preparing us, loving us. Such love is too great to be hidden or ignored—yet how often we have done just that to your love. We who have been the recipients of your grace have refused to share the good news with others.  Forgive us, O Lord, for our reckless disregard of your love.  Help us, O Lord, to become faithful witnesses—allowing your love to overflow our lives and touch the lives of those around us.  Make us instruments of your grace, as we proclaim the love of the One in whose name we are privileged to pray.  Amen
