Almighty God, on this day your Son Jesus Christ entered the holy city of
Jerusalem and was proclaimed King by those who spread palm branches
along his way. Let those branches be for us signs of his victory, and grant
that we who bear them in his name may ever hail him as our Lord, and

PRAYER OF SUBMISSION Unison
Almighty God, it hurts us to hear the story of our Lord’s treatment
in Jerusalem. He was abused in every way and was nailed to a cross
to die for us. Such knowledge is too deep for us to comprehend. We
do understand that he died to make salvation possible, and we are
forever grateful for that. Help us to be the kind of followers that put
discipleship first in our daily living. In his name we pray. Amen.

Opportunities and Announcements
It will be wonderful to have some lilies in the sanctuary for Easter Sunday. If you would like to get one, please let Marcia Kesterson know or call the church office.
The deadline to get information in our May/Jun/Jul newsletter is April 23.
We will have a hymn sing the last Sunday of the next three months; April 27, May 25 and June 29. Please let us know your requests by the week before the date of the hymn sing. There is a form on the table behind the piano in the sanctuary for you to put your requests down for April 27.
If you know of anyone in our church family that will be graduating high school or college this spring, please call the church office to let us know as soon as possible.
The Ronceverte Library and Local Veterans will be cleaning headstones at the Riverview Cemetery April 23 at 10:30am and April 26 at 9:00am. They are asking for help from the community with this big job. Lots of hands needed!
